Healing And The Highway
Evolving from RV Travel to Natural Health on the Road
For the better part of the past year, this newsletter has been a home for stories from the road—snapshots of RV life, dispatches from quiet desert campsites, and reflections on what it means to live small and travel big.
Our postings have been a bit erratic due to a lack of focus. Sorry about that.
That’s about to change.
Many of you have been with us as we chased sunsets through the Southwest, repaired breakdowns on lonely highways, and learned to make a few hundred square feet feel like spiritual space.
That part of our journey isn’t going anywhere. But something meaningful has been unfolding alongside the travel, and it’s time to bring it fully into the newsletter.
I’m a writer by trade and have an MFA in Writing. Wyn holds an MS in Natural Health, a degree earned long before RV life became our backdrop.
What began as Wyn’s personal passion—studying how the body heals, how lifestyle shapes well-being, and how nature restores what modern life drains—has quietly shaped much of our life on the road.
Over time, the connection between travel, writing, and natural wellness has grown impossible to separate.
RV life does something subtle but profound: it reintroduces you to rhythms your body recognizes but modern life often buries.
You rise with the sun because the light pours through the windows.
You walk more because trails are at your doorstep.
You cook simpler meals because storage is limited, and fresh ingredients matter.
Your nervous system settles because silence is no longer a luxury but a daily companion.
This is natural health in motion. Now that we’ve grown accustomed to life on the road, it’s time to fill you in on how we stay healthy along the way, so, if you like, you can do the same.
We’ve tested everything from grounding practices to whole-food cooking in a tiny kitchen; from herbal support on long travel days to restoring sleep cycles under dark, star-heavy skies.
And we’ve realized something: these insights—not just the adventures—are worth sharing.
Natural Health Makes Life Better
This Substack is expanding. You can expect the same travel stories, road wisdom, and glimpses into RV living, but now woven together with:
Practical natural health tips for life on the road
Essays exploring the science and simplicity of holistic living
Wyn’s guidance is rooted in years of study and an MS in Natural Health
Reflections on how nature, movement, and mindful habits reshape well-being
Real stories of what happens when healing and travel intersect
This is not a pivot so much as an alignment—bringing the health knowledge already guiding our journey into the open, where it can (hopefully) support yours.
Whether you’re here for the RV wanderlust, the wellness conversation, or both, we’re grateful that you showed up.
We hope that this evolution deepens the value you find here and inspires you to explore your own connection to health, nature, spirituality, and the winding roads ahead.
Here’s to traveling lighter, living healthier, and discovering what wholeness looks like—one mile at a time.
Ben & Wyn
